Walking, Rolling, and Rock 'N' Roll ABC's

Photobucket has been acting up and not letting me upload my video. I finally got it to work yesterday, but didn't have time to post. I did get some cute pics of the kids while we we out walking the other day and a video. Hope you enjoy:)

There are some folks a few houses away that have some, um, lets call it yard art. The kids love it and always want to stop and play with the crocodile.

Daniel taught them a long time ago that it is fun to put a stick in ant beds. That means everytime we see an ant bed, we must stop and poke sticks into it. They are pretty good about getting the sticks in quickly and getting away before they get bitten. When we go for a lot of walks, you can sometimes see 8 or 9 stick sticking out of each ant bed.

Then I made them hold hands so I could get a cute picture from behind.

Natalie found a pecan. It kept her interest for a few minutes and then she said she wanted to eat it. I cracked it for her but (big surprise) it was no good.

Finally, there is just so much content in this video, I don't think I could ever explain it all:) One thing I will say is that when Natalie is playing w/ her hands, she is trying to sign "I love you".

ETA: i can't get blogger to accept the HTML from my video. Go here ot view directly at PhotoBucket http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q227/marymac_s/?action=view&current=MVI_4636.flv

5 weeks:)

I am in my 5th week now, here is about what the pumpkin looks like
It is so hard to get pictures of Christopher and Natalie right now, they tend to strip down as soon as we walk through the door or get out of bed. I am going to try and get them dressed again and take them for a walk. I'll take my camera and try to get some photos of them for you. Cross your fingers that I'll get soem and get to post them!

Surprise! Get Out the Mastercard!

I'm back with a few of the promised conversations:)

Me: Christopher, please put on your shoes (or shirt/pants/socks etc).
Christopher: What?
Me: Put on your shoes.
Christopher: Huh?
Me: Christopher, put on your shoes NOW!
Christopher: WHAT?
Me: Christopher, do you want to go to gymnastics (or Rainbows...)?
Christopher: Yes!
Me: Then put on your shoes.
Christopher: OK.

I am pretty sure he got this from me, I am always having to ask him to repeat himself. Apparently he thinks it is a game. Here is #2:

Me: Christopher and Natalie, it is time to settle down and get ready for bed.
(At this point sometimes Natalie starts to run around or jump on the couch)
Christopher: Na-wie, Momma said settle down not settle up.

Isn't that sweet? I'm pretty sure that means he understands that up and down are opposites, right? Now here is one from Natalie (talking to her baby, bear or barbie):

Natalie: Bo-Bo?
Bear: No Response.
Natalie: Yes?
Bear: No response.
Natalie: MWAH. Better?
Bear: No response.
Natalie: (Smiles) Better!
Bear: Yep, no response.
Natalie: Nose?
Bear: No response.
Natalie: OK, nose (wipes bears nose).

She can go on like that for a while. She'll wipe their poo, give them baths and lay them down and tell them night night. She is such a good little mommy! Here is a photo of her reading to her babies.

And last, but definately not least...

New wardrobe for Mom: $700.00
3 Car seats: 839.97
Hospital bill (pre insurance): $2000.00
A little pumpkin due Oct 29: Priceless!

HI!!!

Hi! I'm finally getting here to post some more:) Sorry for my absence, but you know how life is sometimes.

Daniel bought a Wii last month and I have some video of the kids playing that for you. Christopher can already beat me at all the games and he can beat Daniel at a few... I think it is really funny!

The kids had a Valentines Day party at school last week. The school rented the "Big Bouncy Bus" and they both had a great time playing in there. I did not go to Natatlie's party (they really don't want us to b/c the kids get really upset if we leave after and don't take them) but I did go to Christopher's and here are some photos of that.

Jumping off the barrel

Rocking on the barrel "horse"

The zip cord was Christopher's favorite!

I wish I had some photos of Natalie, the bus lady said that she had no fear and rode the zip cord over and over. They are talking about renting the bus on a regular basis and I really hope they do, it was a great treat for the kids. And finally, here are a couple of LO's that I in the last few months:

I hope you enjoyed everything, I'll be back soon with more updates! There have been quite a few fun conversations lately that I think should definately be shared!

I'm still here:)

With the Christmas season here I have gotten busy and neglected my blog. I'm sorry about that! I am finally done with all of my shopping and I'm finished with my Christmas cards. I didn't get as many done as I wanted to, but I can't seem to make any more. Hopefully I can find the umph to get them mailed now. We have all been doing well besides the terrible allergies we have all been suffering, but I am still happy b/c I know it could be much worse.

I was allowed to go down to the floor today and take pictures at gymnastics today and that was a great experience! Some of them turned out pretty dark so I will have to work on them before uploading for you to see. I'll start working on that tonight. Here are the videos from last week when Daniel was participating:)

Bounce, bounce, jump!

Cartwheel!

Pullups X 2

Natalie stayed busy while the boys were playing

And here is some cute video from home last week:)

I also have done a couple of layouts lately and I will share:) I don't have as much time to scrap anymore and I really miss it, but I'm very happy when I get the chance!

I'll try to be back soon w/ the photos I took today.

4am

Yep, it's 4am. I can't sleep. Why, well that is why I am here, maybe once I get it out, I will be able to sleep. It's really nothing too bad, just my protective nature. Yesterday was a great day. We got to sleep in a little and then Daniel took the kids outside and I got a little stamp time. It was also "Bring Your Parent to Gymnastics Day" and Daniel got to go down and do gymnastics with Christopher. They had so much fun and I'll try to upload the video sometime later today. Then we did some Christmas looking and had dinner. They canceled the Rainbows class that Christopher goes to on Wednesdays at church, but I didn't know so when we arrived we just hung out with the teachers while they planned the Christmas party for next week (Side note: Daniel is going to be Santa). Then IT happened. One of the boys in the Rainbows class came in with his uncle to speak w/ Rachel. This boy is 5 and about to advance into the next class, but Christopher has really taken to him. He follows the boy around all the time and does everything that the little boy does. This really annoys the boy b/c he wants to play with the bigger boys (who ironically don't really want him in their group b/c he's younger). So my son that still does not talk much runs up to him and says, "Hi Dalton! Look, Christopher has nice GoGo shirt!" while holding his shirt out for Dalton to see. (Translation-- Hi Dalton! Look at my cool Diego shirt.) Of course Dalton was unimpressed and just looked at Christopher like he was from another planet. So Christopher repeated himself and got the same response. You could just see his little heart just break. I felt so bad for him and tried to make up for it by telling him that Dalton loved his shirt. I don't think he believed me, but I tried. Then Dalton and his uncle left and I could see that Christopher's feelings were really hurt. When Daniel got home from Jiu Jitsu, I pulled him aside and told him to make sure to comment on Christopher's shirt. He did, but Christopher didn't seem to get all excited. I now realize it wasn't about the shirt at all, he just wanted to impress his friend. And that is why I can't sleep and I'm crying my eyes out at the keyboard at 4:18 in the morning. It was so hard to see my baby hurt like that and to know that there is absolutely nothing I can do to protect him from it. And I also know that it won't be the last time his heart is broken and each time his heart breaks, mine will too. Who knew being a parent was so hard?
